Masumi Nakano is an instructor of Tibetan Medicine Sowa Rigpa, Ayurveda, Reiki and Aesthetics, based in Kyoto, Japan.

After studying music and then working as a regional manager of one of the biggest aesthetic company in Japan, she started her own spa in Kyoto in 2003, which expanded to three: two in Kyoto and one in Okinawa.

She started to study Ayurvedic medicine in 1995, and in 2006 was authorized as a teacher by Dr.Hiroe Sharma and Prof. Harishankar Sharma, former principal of Ayurveda University in Gujarat. In 2009, she met Dr.Nida, and started to study Tibetan medicine with him. Since 2011, she has been practicing Tibetan Dzogchen meditation under the guidance of the late HH Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche and HE Nyichang Rinpoche.

In addition to giving therapies according to the needs of her clients and also training students, she has been teaching Tibetan medicine and massage therapy to the cancer patients and people suffering from psychosis at several medical institutions since 2011.

Basing on her healing experiences, she gave consecutive presentations on the effects of Ayurveda & Tibetan medicine at Japanese Ayurveda Society from 2005 to 2017. She is a qualified Sowa Rigpa instructor of Root Tantra of Gyushi and Kunye. She is also a Reiki Healing Teacher, and an International CIDESCO approved aesthetician and aromatherapist.

Her aim in life is to make the precious knowledge of Tibetan medicine available to the general public and also to help people awaken to their original Buddha-nature, finally attaining rainbow body.
