SKẎ Public Talks present various topics related to the Sowa Rigpa, the Tibetan science of healing, as well as the related fields of astrology, and spirituality. Our 1-3 hours stand-alone talks are open to the public and intended for any interested person regardless of professional background.

WORKSHOPS

SKẎ Workshops on Sowa Rigpa explore various topics related to the Tibetan science of healing. Not only do they offer an overview of the Tibetan science of healing, but they let you experience the vast, profound world of Sowa Rigpa, including its history, transmission, cosmology, view of health and disease, and diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

ADVANCED STUDY PROGRAM / TibMET

OVERVIEW

The SKẎ Course of Study Tibetan Medicine & External Therapies (TibMET) immerses you in an intensive and dynamic learning experience of the Himalaya’s deeply rooted Traditional Medicine, Sowa Rigpa. Intended for any interested person regardless of professional background its design as 2 to 4 years advanced study allows participation during employment while you gain a profound theoretical and practical understanding of human body, mind and energy.

Through Sowa Rigpa’s complete compatibility with modern medicine and time-tested sciences, you’ll gain a unique empowerment on dealing with today’s life challenges of stress, sickness, and suffering. Unlike any dogmatic tradition, Sowa Rigpa allows you to integrate its holistic treatment into any aspects of your culture, your personal belief, or even your workplace.

CERTIFICATION

Upon completion of TibMET levels 1 through 4 and the corresponding exams, students receive a Sorig Khang International Certificate of Advanced Studies in Tibetan Medicine & External Therapies.

Graduates who complete TibMET levels 1 through 7 are certified with a Sorig Khang International Diploma of Advanced Studies in Tibetan Medicine & External Therapies. Our certification is valid throughout SKẎ’s global branches though we accept no liability for any damages, loss, harm, or illness suffered as a result of medical practice conducted based on any SKẎ activity (courses, public talk, workshop, etc.) by any course participant or venue.

CURRICULUM

TibMET CAS comprises 4 levels, the DAS 7 levels of classes complemented by intensive home studies and review classes, modular examination, participation at the Sorig Congress, as well as thesis work. Theoretical modules can be attended through online or face-to-face classes.

Electives include theoretical TTM modules and practical Tibetan External Therapies modules, freestyle classes, internships within our Sorig Healer Network, as well as medical study tours.

BACHELOR DEGREE

The 5.5 years program will train students to become fully qualified doctors of Sowa Rigpa. The course of study is unique in that it is held in English (with a strong emphasis on developing fluency in classical Tibetan language) and incorporates aspects of modern medicine. The BSM degree is accredited through Lumbini Buddhist University, and offers a degree recognized in Nepal and by educational institutions worldwide.

MASTER DEGREE

The 2 years continuing education program 'Holistic Therapy and Salutogenesis' for doctors and health practitioners is the first of its kind including Sowa Rigpa as integral part of its curriculum in its second semester. The course of study is held in German language and broadens the holistic counseling competencies in your legally recognized health profession. Postgraduates of FH Campus Vienna, University of Applied Sciences are awarded 120 ECTS earning a MSc degree recognized throughout the EU*.

SKẎ TEACHER TRAINING

As SKẎ Teacher and part of the SKẎ Family you independently support the foundation in its mission of education in Sowa Rigpa and its related topics. You will be traveling on invitation of our SKẎ Centers or Partners around the globe to spread the seeds of knowledge.

To become a SKẎ Teacher we offer specific training programs designed to expand your theoretical knowledge and practical experience. You stay up to date with teaching and learning methods through your teaching activities and our continuous education program (Refresher Courses & Teacher Meetings). We also offer state of the art communication channels for exchange with your peers, as well as the unconventional SKẎ Program 'Sorig Mental Health Care'.
