YUTHOK NYINGTHIG LINEAGE

In Tibetan tradition spiritual knowledge has historically been transmitted in a system of lineages, whereby those who successfully receive an empowerment or initiation are seen to enter into the mind stream of the master. This profound connection is the vital link through which the Vajrayana tradition is nourished and maintained.

A lineage's purpose is to ensure that the teachings and masters are authentic bringing about spiritual growth in suitable pupils. Therefore a master is only

considered a ‘lineage holder’ if their understanding of this tradition is complete. True existing lineages are those where the lineage holder either has realized or will soon realize their enlightened nature.

The Yuthok Nyingthig Lineage is traced back to the Medicine Buddha. Dr. Nida Chenagtsang is a lineage holder of this lineage as authorized by Khedrup Michötsang.
